Bread Butter Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 907gm Richs Portuguese Egg Tart Topping
  • 200gm Richs Double Cream
  • 1 loaf Sliced Bread

Vanilla Sauce

  • 250gm Richs Double Cream
  • 125gm Fine Sugar
  • 30gm Ausicows Butter
  • 12gm BWY Vanilla Essence (Concentrated)
  • 1gm Salt

Method:

  1. Mix Double Cream with Portugese Egg Tart Topping to create egg mixture.
  2. Cut bread into cubes and place them in the mold and pour egg mixture over.
  3. Allow bread to soak in the mixture for 20 minutes.
  4. Bake in the oven at 170°C for 20 to 25 minutes. *baking time varies depending on thickness of pudding

Vanilla Sauce

  1. In a pot, pour in the cream and sugar. Stir well.
  2. Cook until sugar is melted. Remove from heat, add in butter, salt and vanilla extract. Stir well and drizzle over baked bread pudding to serve.
